I live in Leyden, Massachusetts where I work as a freelance writer and photographer. I have worked for our area’s award-winning regional newspaper, The Recorder, in Greenfield, MA, for Women’s Review of Books in Wellesley, MA, Edible Pioneer Valley, Montague, MA and for Provincetown Arts.
In May of 2013, I was lucky enough to be awarded two weeks in the Margo Gelb dune shack. I took photos using a variety of methods and equipment. I shot 120 and 35mm film in a plastic Holga camera and captured digital images with a small Lumix camera or with my phone. These images form the heart of my memoir in text and photographs, “Dune Shack.”
A residency at the Ray Wells shack in September, 2015, gave rise to a series of poems which I am compiling into a small chapbook.
My photography and collage have been exhibited at galleries in Provincetown, Boston, western Massachusetts, Vermont, New York City, and, as part The War and Peace Project, in Moscow and Tula, Russia.
