TIM MURPHY

Tim Murphy is the author of the novels Christodora (2016, longlisted for the Andrew Carnegie Prize) and Correspondents (2019), both published by Grove. He has been a NYC-based journalist mainly on HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ issues for more than 30 years, including for The New York Times, New York magazine, Poz magazine and TheBody.com. He has also taught journalism at City College of New York and advanced fiction at NYU. He grew up in the Boston area and lives now in Queens. He is the author of the Substack "The Caftan Chronicles," which runs long interviews with gay men over age 60 who've led notable lives. He is happy to be back at the Provincetown Book Festival, whose inaugural year, 2016, he took part in.
