Dr. Saumya Dave

Dr. Saumya Dave is a board-certified psychiatrist, author, mental health contributor to NBC News, and co-founder of the women’s mental health nonprofit, This Is For Her. She is an adjunct professor at Mount Sinai, where she teaches a Narrative Medicine class. Her writing has been featured in The New York Times, Refinery29, ABC News, and others. She is the author of two novels from Penguin Random House, Well-Behaved Indian Women and What a Happy Family, and is currently working on her third novel. She lives in New York City with her husband and son.
