Melissa J. Homestead
Melissa J. Homestead is a literary historian and biographer and author of The Only Wonderful Things: The Creative Partnership of Willa Cather and Edith Lewis, an honoree for the Bernard J. Brommel Award for Biography. A graduate of Smith College and the University of Pennsylvania, Homestead is Professor of English and Program Faculty in Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she directs the Cather Project and is co-editor of The Complete Letters of Willa Cather. She aspires to write a dual biography of Annie Adams Fields and Sarah Orne Jewett.
