Maya Shanbhag Lang

Maya Shanbhag Lang is the author of What We Carry: A Memoir, named a New York Times Editors’ Choice, an Amazon Best Memoir of 2020, and on multiple international “Best Of” lists. She is also the author of The Sixteenth of June, a modern riff on Ulysses longlisted for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize and named a Must-Read Novel by CBS and InStyle. The daughter of South Asian immigrants, she holds a PhD in Comparative Literature and lives in New York.
