The Provincetown Book Festival will kick off at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14, with a curated reading by local authors, judged by prominent New York literary agent Adam Chromy. Adam Chromy is the president of Moveable Type Management, and has been a literary agent for over fifteen years. He has sold hundreds of books, had dozens of bestsellers, and managed the careers of many notable authors including Jamie Brenner whose bestseller, The Forever Summer, is set in Provincetown.
For this event, dubbed “Reading Local,” Mr. Chromy will review submissions from local Provincetown and Cape Cod writers and will select six writers to read at the opening program of the Provincetown Book Festival. Submissions are not limited by form or genre, so the reading may include poetry and prose, fiction and non-fiction.
Writers who are interested in submitting their work should send a sample, no more than ten pages, with a brief description and bio, to Provincetown Lead Librarian Nan Cinnater ( ). Deadline for submissions is July 24. The list of readers will be announced on August 16. For more information, contact Nan Cinnater at the Provincetown Public Library.
