SUSAN TRAN

Susan Tran most recently spent 7 years as an anchor/reporter at NBC10 Boston/NECN but has been in TV news for 25 years at various stations. She’s a two-time Emmy Award winning journalist who anchored the news through the pandemic and was part of hours-long coverage for major headlines including Tom Brady’s retirements, the swearing-in of Boston’s first Asian-American mayor, and numerous breaking news events. As a reporter, she’s covered the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Celtic’s Championship run, several Patriots Super Bowl wins, the Bruins hoisting of the Stanley Cup, the Red Sox World Series wins, the Boston Marathon bombings, the Newtown school shooting, various blizzards, and dozens of DEI-focused stories.

Whether she’s producing and hosting her Tech Tuesday and Page Turner segments, learning on-the-fly to do traffic reports when there was a sudden vacancy, digging for exclusive interviews, or sharing the stories of extraordinary people; Susan’s energetic style, endless curiosity, and passion for giving voice to the unheard - they all exemplify her love of storytelling.

Susan is also loves food and finding the best places to eat. She spends a lot of time doing that in Boston, Provincetown, and during her many journeys around the world. She’s now traveled to all 7 continents and hopes to add to the growing list of 3 dozen countries she and her husband have already visited. She’s also rowdy about the Patriots, loves trying new hobbies (the latest is pottery), tending to her small garden, and taking pictures of her rescue dog, Margaret.

Susan is originally from Los Angeles. She graduated from Boston University with magna cum laude honors, speaks conversational Mandarin-Chinese, and lives in the South End with her husband and Margaret.
