A. C. BURCH

A. C. Burch writes LGBTQ+ fiction that explores themes of identity, sexuality, and personal transformation, focusing on those who eschew the mainstream.

His debut novel was The HomePort Journals (May 2015). The book received critical acclaim for its vivid descriptions of Provincetown and its authentic portrayal of the struggles and triumphs of a chosen family that spanned age, gender/identity, and sexual preference. In 2016, he released A Book of Revelations, short stories Kirkus described as “a collection of crackerjack plot twists in which unlikely heroes seize the day.”

The Distance Between Us (May 2023), the sequel to Burch’s debut novel, features a talented female impersonator falsely accused of murder who uses her considerable talent and ample wardrobe to clear her name. Themes of gentrification and small-town life are woven into the narrative, whose fiercely loyal protagonist challenges negative attitudes toward drag performers.

An amateur photographer and sailor, A. C. Burch is an advocate for equal rights and representation in literature and the performing arts. He divides his time between Provincetown, MA, and South Beach, FL.
